Ian Davis joined Lytle Associates in 1989 as a senior associate, after working for a number of commercial architectural practices. He became a full equity partner in 1994 and is now a senior equity director responsible for the group’s larger scale strategic projects and management of the business.
Ian graduated from Nottingham University in 1985 with double first class honours degrees in Architecture and Environmental Design. His work has been exhibited in Stuttgart, Darmstadt and Firenze and he was awarded the J. Edward Shimeld prize for architecture.
Ian has led the expansion of Lytle Associates health, education and masterplanning sectors through the recent recession years. Clients include a range of successful independent schools and academies, NHS Trusts, private healthcare groups, major national housebuilders and landowners. Through his experience Ian represented the Secretary of State for Health at a fifteen month public inquiry into the future of the Claybury Hospital site in Woodford Green, Essex. This finally resulted in a land sale realising tens of millions of pounds for future investment in the NHS Estate.
