St Peter’s School Opening

St peter’s School celebrated the formal opening of their new Sixth Form Centre on 1st July with a Feast day mass led by Bishop Kieran Conry.
The team from Gerry Lytle Associates joined builders MCS and many who had been involved in fundraising for the project to celebrate with the whole school community.

A specially written prayer, music and drama preceded the blessing and formal opening ceremony. Year 12 students, who will be the first to use the new facilities in September, gave tours to visitors, proudly showing off the modern, spacious classrooms, study facilities and common room including a balcony overlooking the playing fields.

The building was completed on budget and ahead of programme, and incorporates a range of sustainable features to achieve a Breeam rating of Very Good.

The new building provides a stunning new focus to the school site, offering state of the art facilities, which reflect the status of the Sixth Form students within the school, and set a benchmark for high quality, sustainable development for the future of the school.
