Andrew Torrance, Chief Executive of Allianz Insurance PLC, has formally opened the new office accommodation at Allianz’s UK Head office in Guildford.

Gerry Lytle Associates obtained planning permission for this 550m2 second floor extension to the Allianz Insurance PLC headquarters. The extension increases the floor area of this blue chip company to in excess of 11,500m2.

The construction provides a simple and elegant lightweight extension on the roof of the existing concrete framed building, and includes a second floor bridge link and new lift shaft. The new office floor provides a modern and clean working environment for the IT department locating here from elsewhere.

Allianz have praised the successful design and management of the project that was completed with the existing offices fully occupied and working.
