The phase 1a building at Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form was completed as scheduled in time for the beginning of term in September. The building is now in use and welcoming both new and old Tolworth pupils through its doors.

The new building contains a sixth form centre inclusive of a study and resource area, common room, snack bar and balcony as well as new dining facilities, classrooms for science, business studies and IT and a multi-use games area, sports facilities and landscaping. The building achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

Lytle Associates developed the design as part of a wider masterplanning scheme for the school which, once complete, will provide Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form with two new state of the art buildings and new sports facilities amidst landscaped outdoor spaces.

The phase 2 building is now underway on site with completion expected for September 2018.
