The CEDAR building houses the Centre for Endocrinology and Diabetes Research on the Royal Surrey County Hospital site in Guildford. We were appointed by a design and build contractor to provide the detailed working drawings and liaise with Guildford Borough Council to satisfy the planning conditions.

The contractor to design good buildability including a ‘double floor’ to enable first fix services to commence immediately following the timber frame erection. The external materials of cedar boarding, stained timber frames, clay tile hanging were chosen carefully to make this a welcoming and appealing building on the hospital site.
