We prepared a masterplan and then successfully delivered a new art block, whole building refurbishments, a 3 storey classroom infill extension, roof space conversion and a new multi-use games pitch. A new full size sports hall was the last major phase and the handover of that facility – for the start of the academic year 2020 – marked a significant milestone for the school.

This is a tight urban site close to the town centre and the logistics of fitting the new accommodation on to the site were extremely complex. We created a 4m deep basement to keep the roof height in line with adjacent and original buildings and the curved roof profile and timber cladding softened the external appearance. There were also new changing rooms, a studio, fitness suite and teaching space.
