  • Residential Development – Epsom Residential

The second phase of new build residential development in Epsom, Surrey adding another 13 apartments for a total of 23 across the site.

Located adjacent to a park, it was a priority to create large openings to provide views across the public open space and naturally lit internal spaces. Primary living spaces are arranged along the parkland facing elevations with terraces to allow for private external areas for enjoyment of this setting.

A contemporary style was adopted with an organic ā€˜L’ shaped form stepping down from 3 storeys to a single storey towards the north-west and south-west boundaries . Curved corners of the building envelope intend to complement the existing eclectic architectural styles of the wider context and to also respond its rural setting. Other architectural details such as chamfered window reveals, box windows and juliette balconies reinforce this style whilst the facades create depth by utilising a brick internal layer which sits behind a rendered shell adding to the architectural character of the proposal.
