A refurbishment & extension of Stoughton Social Club into Residential units.
The proposed extension is designed to retain as much of the existing building as possible. The existing roofwas removed, and a new storey introduced. This top floor is set back from the main facade to limit the visual impact.
Small bays are to be introduced on the eastern and western facades to break up the expansive walls.
Areas of existing facade are rendered to create a unified appearance and avoid a patchwork of new and old materials.
The key new elements of the top storey, the main entrance and the bays are to be clad in a dark timber composite panel which will add interest
to the facade.
