Planning Permission for four, new build dwellings in Haslemere

Working in conjunction with ME Developments, planning consent has been achieved for four, new build, detached residential dwellings as part of a phased development, located in an attractive and sustainable location in Haslemere, Surrey.

The design concept reflects the fragmented layout of the existing buildings on the development site, where the architectural language has been developed to sympathetically adopt the established agricultural aesthetic with contemporary elements.

Burnt larch timber cladding envelopes the dwellings reflecting a lightweight element when set against masonry at the lower levels. The inclusion of large framed openings, inset balconies and zinc trims at the junctions where the two materials meet creates a contemporary feel.

A Barn type form ensures that the proposals are sensitive to the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Area of Great Landscape Value and the Haslemere Special Green Area.
