Returning University of Surrey students were able to successfully use the refurbished Lecture Block after a fast track fit out of the interior spaces during the Christmas holiday period. The works have enlivened a previously worn out and tired interior to provide a bright and inviting space that can be enjoyed by all. An important feature of the works was the provision of new lighting rafts that give the interior a bright and colourful appearance.

The Christmas works also included the provision of a new horizontal containment system to house the previous myriad of surface fixed cables together with new signage, notice boards, flooring, ironmongery etc.

These works form part of an overall refurbishment that was completed in 2011.
