Our 35th Anniversary: The Early 2010s

Our anniversary celebrations continue with our favourite projects from the early 2010s.

We completed, New Barn School, a specialist School working with Sussex Healthcare. When designing a special school our starting point will be to spend time in the school to really understand the particular needs of the pupils and how the architecture can make their school experience the best it can be.  The significance of layout, light direction, colour, signage, furniture layout and window position can have huge impact.

The new Art Block at Guildford County School, Guildford. Sitting low within the site due to planning constraints the steel framed building with timber cladding gives a new clay studio, workshop, digital studio, and dark room along with a new kiln and two classrooms.

Also included is our full design service from inception to completion, including obtaining planning permission for a Change of Use of Agricultural Barn on Green Belt to a residential property and a contemporary extension to a Grade II listed Victorian palmhouse. Providing three new bedrooms with en-suites, bathroom, new living area with glazed roof and dining area linked to the original building by a new corridor incorporating canted structural glazed walls and roof.
