Lead consultant on the Arbuthnot Hall, Shamley Green
We are extremely pleased to have been chosen as the lead consultant on the redesign of the Arbuthnot Hall.
This Arts & Crafts village hall, which overlooks the village green in one of Surrey’s prettiest villages, was built in 1904. Designed by architect Charles Harrison Townsend, and named after its benefactor Lady Elinor Arbuthnot and her late husband, the hall was designed for a variety of community activities, including as a cricket pavilion.
We are looking forward to working with the hall committee and the village community to design a scheme that not only captures the historic character of this special building but also satisfies its contemporary audience and is future-proofed to meet the needs of the village for decades to come.
On Thurs 29 Feb, the hall will be open from 6pm-9pm for anyone interested in viewing the plans and chatting with members of the committee as well as our very own Richard and Paul, the architects working on the redesign. There will be a presentation at 7pm.
