Office visit to an inspiring home in Farnham

Visiting homes designed by other architects is always an inspiring and educational experience.

Last week, a number of us were lucky enough to visit Middle Avenue House in Farnham, an award-winning home that in 2023 won a RIBA South East Regional Award, a RIBA National Award and was shortlisted for RIBA House of the year 2023. This adaptable family home, which echoes the Arts and Crafts vernacular both externally and internally, was designed by Rural Office for Architecture.

The clients couldn’t have been more welcoming. Our team was particularly inspired by the beautiful craftsmanship and bespoke joinery as well as the thoughtful architectural detailing that has created a light-filled home full of charm and character.
