We were delighted to once again sponsor and support Guildford’s Pancake Race on Tuesday, which, this year, was raising money for Street Angels, volunteers who support anyone in a vulnerable state in town on a Friday and Saturday night.

After a number of very entertaining kids races, it was time for the race we sponsored – called the ‘Lytle Plan-cake Race’. The University of Surrey were the victors but it was a close run thing between the teams from the Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford Shakespeare Company, Guildford Fringe and Kelly’s Storage.

A little later, our very own team – Jon, Christian, Richard and Paul – donned their team t-shirts, psyched themselves up and stood primed and ready to take on the stiff competition, including teams from Cavenders and Clyde & Co. Tensions were high but our team rose to the occasion from the get-go. A great start from Richard was followed by a fabulous run by Jon. Paul was able to maintain this lead and Christian then powered to victory down the high street.
